The Oh Thiam Hock/ Helen Hing Oh Scholarship Trust Fund B (a.k.a. “Oh Scholarship Fund”) is an educational trust. It was established under the Will of Helen Hing Oh. Mrs. Hing Oh created the Oh Scholarship Fund for the educational benefit of any descendant of Dr. Toy Wah Hing admitted into a course of higher learning.

Gerald M. Hing is the current trustee of the Oh Scholarship Fund pursuant to the Order Confirming Successor Trustee issued by the Superior Court in and for the County of San Mateo on March 5, 2003. The Oh Scholarship Fund is subject to periodic court review.

A qualifying beneficiary is:

1. Any descendant of Dr. Toy Wah Hing;

a. This is defined as a child, the child’s child, or children and their children to any degree who is then living at the expiry of the twenty-one (21) year period after the last survivor of all the descendants of His Brittanic Majesty King George V then living on March 18, 1999 are deceased;

2. Who is or has been admitted into an institution of higher learning or other like institution, whether in Singapore or elsewhere;

3. For the purpose of that beneficiary’s education.

Distributions from the Oh Scholarship Fund are made at the trustee’s sole discretion and are sent directly to institutions of higher learning. Please note that payments will not be forwarded to a beneficiary in lieu of the institution. A beneficiary may apply for a grant from the Oh Scholarship Fund by completing the Application for Grant from Oh Scholarship Fund and attaching verification of identity (a copy of birth certificate, driver's license, passport, or student or military identification).

This website shall serve as the primary mechanism to provide statutory notice of all court proceedings for all persons entitled to notice who have opted to receive notice via this website.
